Which exchange is the safest?
This site does not answer that, and treats anyone who does with suspicion. Safety depends on custody arrangements, the entity you contract with, the regime it sits under and your own circumstances, and it changes over time. What this site provides is the four checks that let someone answer it for their own situation.
Does a licence mean my money is protected?
Rarely in the way people assume. A licence covers a named entity for a named activity in a named country. Cryptoassets are frequently outside deposit protection schemes, and no regime compensates for losing money on a trade. The regulation page sets out what a permission does and does not reach.
My withdrawal is pending. Is that bad?
Not on its own. Identity verification at first withdrawal, address holding periods, network congestion and banking cut-offs are all ordinary. What is not ordinary is a condition that appears only when funds try to leave, and specifically a request for a further payment before release.
They are asking me to pay a fee to release my funds. Should I?
A legitimate charge is deducted from the amount being sent, not requested in advance. A demand for payment before funds can move is asking you to send more money to recover money, and it can be repeated as many times as it works. That pattern is described on the withdrawals page.
Is proof of reserves enough?
It is worth something and it is not sufficient. It shows assets at a moment in time, usually without showing liabilities, and a venue that owes clients more than it holds can still pass an assets-only check. It is stronger when it covers liabilities, is independently performed and is repeated.
Why does this site not review or rank venues?
Because a ranking is a recommendation, and a recommendation about where someone puts money is exactly the thing this site exists to explain rather than provide. It also has no way to verify a venue on an ongoing basis, and a review published once would be stale immediately.
Is there anything to sign up for here?
No. There is no account, no newsletter, no referral link and no outbound commercial link anywhere on this site. The editorial policy states this in full and it is checkable in the page source.
What happened to the old Kureex site?
It lapsed. What it was until 2023, and the spam takeover that followed, are documented with links to the public archive on the domain history page.
